I Am Rahab…In This Quiet Place

I Am Rahab…In This Quiet Place

by JC Miller

In this room

In this space

In this quiet place much needed

I found myself bent over

I found myself worn out

I found myself barely holding on

Lord, but I picked up my troubles

Lord, but I picked up my pain

Lord, but I picked them up and gave them over to You to claim

Why then do I cry?

Why then do I hide?

Why then is there silence, no answers from the sky?

Have you heard?

Have you forgotten?

Have you left my side?

In this room

In this space

In this quiet place much needed

I bend over in prayer

I wear out my knees

I hold on to my faith in thee

Picking up my troubles

Picking up my pain

Picking up to give them to You again

I’ll cry… because I’m weary

I’ll hide… but in Your peace

I’ll listen for your voice… Lord, even if it kills me

You heard my plea

You haven’t forgotten

You stand by my side

In this room

In this space

In this quiet place much needed

Because I am Rahab, too

  1. Love that Jess! The Lord knows His daughters that have a thirst for Him; it is not a thirst for the things of the world but a cry that has not been satisfied because it’s Promise has not been fulfilled. Be blessed Lovely!
