I Am Rahab…Year of the Tiger/Eye of the Tiger

I Am Rahab…Year of the Tiger/Eye of the Tiger

by Myriam Muniz

Every time I think about the year of the tiger, I immediately hear:

It’s the eye of the tiger

It’s the thrill of the fight

Rising up to the challenge of our rival

And the last known survivor

Stalks his prey in the night

And he’s watching us all with the eye of the tiger

I googled Year of the Tiger and found that it’s commonly associated with bravery, courage, and strength.

After the last two years of the unknown, fear, and worry, it’s fitting that this year, 2022, is the year of the tiger. It’s time for us to “rise up to the challenge of our rival” with bravery, courage, and strength.

We must face the unknown with bravery – Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper and not harm you, to give you a future and a hope.”

We must respond to fear with courage – 2 Timothy 1:7, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear; but of power, and love and a sound mind.”

And we must respond to worry with strength – Isaiah 41:10, “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

So, come on, sisters! Let’s step into 2022, the year of the tiger singing…because YOU ARE AND I AM RAHAB TOO!

  1. I Just read eye of the tiger i have been going through a time of health issues that caused me such anxiety that i have never experienced before in my life. Yesterday i decided i would live despite of what was going on within my body. I had to be brave and walk through those hospital doors by myself.
AND I DID! I came out VICTORIOUS!
